Annie R. McCroy, 60, departed this life on April 24, 2015, to go be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after fighting a courageous battle.
Annie was born on July 7, 1954, to the Late Nathaniel Redfield Sr., and Lealer Goree in Anderson, IN.
At the age of 55 she rededicated her life to Christ. She was a graduate of Madison Heights High School, and she also attended Culinary School.
Annie loved her family, and was known to be the family midwife, delivering a host of nieces and nephews. She also had a passion for playing softball and was a member of the A-Town Easy Riders Motorcycle Club known as Anti-Freeze. Annie was employed throughout the years at several different restaurants displaying her abilities as a chef. She really enjoyed sci-fi movies, and her cat “Snowy”; she also was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.
Annie will be truly missed by her family she leaves behind, her mother Lealer Goree, her beloved son Brian ( Meredith) Armstrong Grandchildren Briamma Armstrong and De’mauri Williams, loving companion Kenny Gibbs and her God-Children Anthony (Kendra) Johnson, Tanee (Williams) Farley, and Jaeshuan (Kevin) Jordan all of Anderson. Sisters: Alberta Young and Mary Tanner of Anderson, Ethel Rollins of Shreveport, LA. Brothers: Jerry Redfield and Michael Redfield of Anderson; a host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. A special niece Lorie (Peoples) Hannah of Indianapolis, 3 close friends Jolenna Jones, Eleanor Booker of Anderson, and Edna Goolsby of Decatur, AL, and a host of cousins and friends who will miss her greatly.
She was preceded in death by her father Nathaniel Redfield Sr., two brothers Willie James (SugaMan) Redfield, Nathaniel (Red) Redfield, and grandparents.
