Alice Faye “Sweets” Gates was born to Johas Mark and Flossie Mae Spikes-Mark on Feb. 13, 1956 in Gary, IN. Faye departed this life Mar. 18, 2023 in Anderson, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband; two sisters Carrie Mae Mark-Driskell, Emily “Dean” Mark; 7 brothers Eddie Rogers, Milton Owens, Rayford Mark, Curtis L. Mark, Ike Mark, Johnny Mark, Joseph Mark . Throughout her life, she was employed US Steel for 30 years and retired in 2011. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Gary, IN.
Faye leaves to cherish her memories children Faye D. Scott, Larry Scott Jr., Keith R. Scott, Kimberly Gates; grandchildren Grant Anderson, Ashley Anderson, Larry Harris, Jody Harris, Essynce Dix, DeAngelo Harris; 14 great grandchildren; special friends Gretrude “Teenaje” Brown, Joan Moore, Delores Williams, Josalene Morris, Andrea “Angie” Turner, Mattie Lee and a host of nieces, nephews, special friends.
Services will be Private. Service entrusted to Glazebrooks Funeral Services.
