Alphonso “Big Al” Graves, 54, went home to be with the lord on July 18, 2020 unexpectedly.
Alphonso was born Aug. 2, 1965 and was a graduate of Madison Heights High School. He was employed at Elsa LLC, enjoyed lifting weights, fishing, cooking, and vacationing with the kids.
Alphonso is survived by his wife of 33 years Carolyn A. Graves; Daughter Andreana (Cory) Langford; Sons James (Brittney) Ratliff, Travis (Erika) Ratliff, George (Bethany) Sanford; Sister Peggy Jackson; 14 Grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Alphonso was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Mae Graves; Grandparents George Graves Sr., Rebecca Graves and brother Gary Jackson.
Service will be held noon Saturday at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, 2124 Cedar St., with burial at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10am to noon prior to service.
