Ben Roberts, 79, passed away Dec. 31, 2019 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
Ben was born June 4, 1940 to Ezell and Girth Roberts in DeKalb, Miss. He was a GM retiree, enjoyed watching sports, traveling with grandkids, visiting family and having coffee with friends.
Ben is survived his wife Gussie Roberts, daughter Carol Roberts; Son Zell Roberts; Sisters Ella McIntosh, Annie Ruth (Shumpter) McIntosh, Jean (Sonny) Griffin; Brother Willie Roberts, E.G. (Louise) Robert Cleo Ross; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-greandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Benwas proceed in death by his Parents; Sister Coral Gambil and Brother Harry Gambil.
Service will be held noon Thursday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 1540W 16th St., with eulogy by Rev. Edgar Woodall.
Burial at Maplewood Cemetery.
