Brenda Joy Moss
Brenda Joy Moss, 79, passed away Oct. 31, 2023.
Brenda was born July 16, 1944 to Helen and John Holbert Sr. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1962. Brenda dedicated several years of her life to Child Protective services, making a positive impact in the lives of many children. She later joined the Anderson Community School system as a School Social Worker and retired in 2009 after a full career. Brenda enjoyed singing, playing the piano, gardening, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Brenda is survived by her son M. Spencer Moss; daughters Muriel Wilkes, Kristen Moss; Sister Patricia Jones; Brother Timothy Holbert; 4 grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband Mervin Moss; parents John Holbert Sr., Helen Burt Holbert; sister Helen Loiuse Holbert and brother John Holbert Jr.
Funeral service will be noon Friday at Sherman St. Church of God, 1925 Sherman St., with visitation 2 hours prior to service.
Burial at Maplewood Cemetery.
