Chanielle “Yo Yo” Brooks was born December 1, 1985 to Susan Michelle Coates-Brooks and the late Bruce Edward Brooks, Sr.
Chanielle attended Westvale Elementary School and was a 2003 graduate of Anderson High School. She loved all kids, reading, taking walks, cooking and talking on the phone with her nieces, nephews and friends.
Chanielle never met a stranger and was full of life and a joy to have known.
Chanielle passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2020 in Indianapolis. She leaves to cherish her memories mother, Susan Michelle Brooks; sister, Alisha (Lisha) Brooks; brothers, Bruce (BJ) Brooks, Jr., Brycin Brooks and Andrius (Bubby) Brooks and special niece Ani’yah Michelle Clark. Nieces and nephews, Kaiden Brooks, Arianna Brigham, Brycin “Lil Brrycin” Brooks, J’Liza Brooks, Jayla Brooks, Bailey Brooks, Bruce Brooks, III and Lyrik Dean Riddle Brooks and a host of other relatives and friends.
Chanielle was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Edward (Silk) Brooks, Sr. Paternal grandparents, Felix Brooks, Sr. and Betty Ann Hunt. Maternal grandparents, Bobby and Agnes Coates.
Service will be held 1pm Friday at Glazebrooks Funeral Services, 2822 Nichol Ave., will visitation from 11am to 1pm prior to service.
