Charles “Bobby” King, 61, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 26, 2020 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
Charles was born Oct. 9, 1958 in Sardis, AL. to the late Tommie and Virginia King. He was a 1976 graduate of Anderson High School and employed at AMBU and Frisch’s Big Boy. Charles was a deacon at Church Upon the Rock, enjoyed repairing things, and spending time with family and friends.
Charles is survived by his wife Carol “Cissy” King; Children Cameo King, Desmonde Moore; Sisters Mae (Roosevelt) Wright; Carolyn (Chester) Malloy of New York; Brothers Supt. Samuel (Pearlen) King, Carl (Debra) King, Tommie King, Rodney (Dawn) King; Mother-in-law Doris Raymore; In laws Kimberly Townsend, Frankie, Tony, Victor Raymore; Special friends Dewayne Stith, Larry Goolsby and a host of family and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; Brother Anthony King Sr.; Sister Joyce “Niecy” King and father-in-law William Raymore Sr.
Service will be noon Tuesday at Church Upon the Rock, 303 E. 29th St., with burial at Pleasant Walk Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 10am to noon prior to service.
