David Lee Davis 74, transitioned from this life on December 28th.
He was born on November 8, 1946 to the late Julius and Alice Davis here in Anderson, IN.
David attended the Anderson Community School system. He proudly served in the United States Army for 3 years. He was employed with Delco Remy.
David loved to listen to music; going fishing; watching: wrestling, westerns, and Days of our Lives; and most of all spending time with family and friends.
David leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 47 years Elmira Davis; his children Angela (Dominic) Tilford, Alice (John) Hampton, Clarence (Dawn) Alexander, Belinda (Anthony) Gibson, Brandi Speights, Terry Hawkins, LaQuisha (Alvin) Beard, Tia Smith; 25 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; Sister Elma Rogers; In laws: Jesse (Judy) Pugh, Barbara Pugh, Samuel Pugh, and Rosa Boyd and a host of nephews, nieces, and loved ones.
David is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Lee Birt Sr., Rufus, Quinn, Nathaniel, Udell, Matthew, and Wendell Davis. Sisters: Vealer Miller, Marie Jones, and Luceal Davis Allen; Son: Lance Brown; Grandson Graceton Hampton and Granddaughter Gracelynn Hampton.
Visitation will be 10am to nonn Friday at Glazebrooks Funeral Services.
Service will be private.
