Freddie Lewis Cottrell, 73, passed away June 5, 2022 at Countryside Manor.
Freddie was born Oct. 13, 1948 to J C and Lee Etter Cottrell in Troy, AL. He was a 1969 Anderson High School graduate, enjoyed watching CNN and spending time with grandchildren, family and friends.
Freddie is survived by his wife Juanita Cottrell; sons LaVerne Cottrell, Freddie (Merian) Cottrell Jr., Chenier Fointno; daughters Niani Cottrell; Octavia Cottrell, Sheri (Charles) Dozier; Cheri Fointno; brother Willie (Rhoda) Cottrell; sister-in-law Arlene Cottrell; friends Lupe Reyes, Warren Dixon; 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 gg grandchild and a host of Wilkerson in laws, family and friends.
Freddie was preceded in death by his parents J C Cottrell, Lee Etter Cottrell; sisters Lillie Mae Ball, Cassie Mae Davis, Rosetta Bradley, Lela Kate Graham; brothers K C Cottrell, Willie Cottrell, Elgie Cottrell and Johnny Cottrell.
Service will be noon Friday at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, 2124 Cedar St., with visitation 2 hours prior to service.
