James Edward Jones, 63, passed away Dec. 11, 2022 at Community Hospital.

James was born June 15, 1959 to Thelma and Willie Jones Sr. in Dalville, MS. He was a 1977 Madison Heights High School graduate, US Army Veteran, and GM retiree. James enjoyed basketball, fishing, word search puzzles, scratch off tickets and spending time with family and friends.
James is survived by his wife Donna Jones; son James Derrick; daughters Antoinette (Tom) Sargent, Cherika (Ricardo) DeJesus, Candis Jones, Jamesha Jones, Anjanai Jones, Jurmanni Jones, La’Quinda Maxwell, Ronicca Gosha, Daneisha Gosha; sisters Patricia Nunn, Tarmiaka Gory, Nina (Lonnie) Gaines, Octavia McDade; brothers Leroy Jones, Joseph Jones, Lee (Phoeba) Jones, David Jones; 21 grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents Willie Jones Sr., Thelma Jones; brother Willie Jones Jr. and sister Dorothy Jones.
Service will be noon Wednesday at Miracle Faith Temple Church, 1501 Hendricks St., with visitation 2 hours prior to service.
Burial at Maplewood Cemetery.
