Jessie “Chin” Collier, 78, passed away Nov. 20, 2019 at his residence. 
Jessie was born Mar. 29, 1941 in Troy, AL. to the late James and Jessie Mae Collier. He was a 1960 AHS graduate, veteran of the US Air Force, GM retiree, member of Peerless Lodge #32, and a faithful member of Allen Chapel AME Church. Jessie enjoyed basketball bowling, Skip-Bo and spending time with family and friends.
Jessie is survived by his daughters Stephanie Johnson, Deidra Baker, Nyree (Ernest) Wesley, Starla (Reggie) Nixon; Sisters Anne Nunn, Marcella Steans, Dinah Jordan; Brother James Collier Jr., 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of many family and friends.
Jessie was preceded in death by his parents, grand-daughter Desirea Turner and brother Willie Collier.
Service will be held 1pm Monday at Allen Chapel AME Church, 1610 Sheridan St., with visitation from noon to 1pm prior to service.
