Merian Elizabeth Jackson
Merian Elizabeth Jackson, 92, departed on June 8, 2023, peacefully at home.
Merian was born Jan. 31, 1931 to Henry Broadnax and Merian Elliott Manuel in Russellville, KY. She graduated from Anderson High School, retired from American Inn Hotels as a supervisor. Merian enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, watching games shows, playing board games and watching tennis, Perry Mason, Dukes of Hazard and Andy Griffin on television.
Merian leaves to cherish her memory daughters Otera Rashad, Vontress Ann Givens; nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren; Sisters Josephine Stewart, Veronica Fuller, Lorraine Hayes; brother Gregory (Jessica) Manuel; sister-in-law Tina Manuel and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Merian was preceded in death by her parents husband John Jackson; daughter Sheryl Hester and grandson Willie Turner, Jr.
Funeral service will be noon Friday at Glazebrooks Funeral Services, 2822 Nichol Ave., with viewing 2 hours prior to service. Burial at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
