Mervin “Chicken” Nance
, 67, passed away Jan. 30, 2023 at Northview Nursing Home.
Mervin was born Jan. 11, 1956 to Joseph and Lorine Nance in Cincinnati, OH. He enjoyed fishing, singing, dancing and spending time with family and friends.
Mervin is survived by his lifelong companion Regina Jones; son Nichelus Campbell; special daughter Latoya Wheeler; special son Julus Rogers; sisters Mayzine (Edwin) Ricard, Patricia Moore, Weddie Mae Green; brothers Billy Moore; special niece Ra’Shia Nance and a host of family and friends.
Mervin was preceded in death by his parents Lorine Nance, Joseph Nance; sisters Lena Miles, Mildred Smith, Earlene “Kookie” Clark; twin brother Marvin “Sugar” Nance; brothers Milton Moore Jr., Eddie Moore, Buford Moore, Donald Moore and L.C. Moore.
Funeral services will be noon Saturday at New Birth Worship Center, 403 W. 22nd St. with visitation 2 hours prior to service
