Laverne Cottrell, 55, passed away Aug. 9, 2022.
Laverne was born July 3, 1967, to Freddie Cottrell and Jeanetta Arbuckle. He was a 1985 graduate from Anderson High School. Laverne love dancing with his group “Timex” and spending time with family and friends. Laverne is survived by his son, Jessie Cottrell; daughter, April (Tawana) Cottrell; mother, Jeanetta Arbuckle; sisters, Octavia Cotrell, Niani Cottrell; brother, Freddie Cottrell Jr.; and a host of family and friends. Laverne was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Cottrell Sr.; grandparents, Lee Etter Cottrell, J.C. Cottrell, Annie Fletcher, Bertheren Bryant; and niece, Camille Neal. Service will be noon Saturday at Glazebrooks Funeral Service, 2822 Nichol Ave., with visitation two hours prior to service.
