She was born in Montgomery, Alabama on April 8, 1935 to McKinley and Alberta Wilkerson.
She was a retired employee of General Motors and a member of Holy Ghost Temple Apostolic Church for many years. She loved the Lord, attending church, taking care of her family, cooking and shopping. Luerenda leaves to cherish her memory sons, Aaron Jay Patterson, Gregory A.Patterson, Donald (Bobbie) Patterson and Jack Patterson III. Daughters, Eleanor Marie (Bonnie) McCullough, Doris Jean (Tony) Webb Sr., Cynthia(Darvi) Williams, Daphne Gaynell (James) Jones, Pamela Lynn Patterson, and Kisha Brown.
Siblings Calvin Wilkerson, Pauline Wilson, Earline Clay all of Gary, IN, Rosa Julian of Montgomery, AL, Magnolia (James) Smith of Gilbert, AZ; 35 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Patterson Jr. and son Calvin Patterson. Homegoing Celebration Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at New Purpose Ministries, 2604 Scatterfield Rd., Anderson, IN. with viewing 10-12pm before the service.
