April Lashonda Simon, 45, passed away July 17, 2023 at IU Ball Hospital.
April was born Aug. 15, 1977 in Louisville, KY.
She enjoyed music, dancing and spending time with family and friends.
April is survived by her son K’wan Whitfield; daughter Lachontel (Justin) Goolsby; parents Elder Roberta Boyd, Ernest Boyd; brothers Terrell (Phyliss) Whitfield, Keith (Yvonne) Whitfield; sisters Natasha McCullough, Centraila Winfrey; special sister Noree Boyd; 5 grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
April was preceded in death by her special mother Hattie Whitfield, grandparents Willie and Nora Lee Smith.
Funeral service will be noon Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church, 1700 E. Butler St., with visitation 10am to noon prior to service. Service entrusted to Glazebrooks Funeral Services.
