Florence W. Gould, 82, made her peaceful transistion into her eternal rest on June 2, 2022.
Florence was born Sept. 22, 1939 to Yancey Sr. and Bettie Welch in Talladega, AL. She was the 6th child of 9 children. She attended Westside High School where she was the lead majorette. She moved to Anderson, IN. where she was employed by General Motors for 38 years and retired in 2006. Florence enjoyed gardening, shopping, going to garage sales, and spending time with family and friends. Florence was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Florence leaves to cherish her memory two children Angela Gould of Los Angles, CA., Victor (Myra) Gould of Anderson, IN.; three grandchildren Valorie Gould of Anderson, IN., Victor Gould II stationed at Travis AFB in California, Demetric Gould of Gallatin, TN.; one great grandson Tae’Vion Gould of Anderson, IN.; two sisters Betty Sue Swain of Anderson, IN., Sarah Ann Williams of Hartford, CT.; one brother William Welch of Anderson, IN.; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and a special friend Joe Ann Burk of Anderson, IN.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents Yancey Sr. and Bettie Welch; brothers Andrew Welch, Joe Lewis Welch, Gardner Welch, Charles E. Welch, and sister Katherine “Joan” Wilson.
Funeral service will be noon Friday, June 17, 2022 at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 230 W. 14th St. Anderson, IN. Viewing 2 hours prior to services.
Burial at Maplewood Cemetery.
