Jackie “Jack Blind” L. Jones,62, went home to be with the Lord, unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, at Community North Hospital Indianapolis, IN.
Jackie was born on June 6, 1960, in Doddsville, MS to Eula M. Wheeler (Jones). Jackie nickname “Jack Blind” was cool laid back, humble and he Loved the Lord. He was a member of City of Hope Church Pastor Corey Duncan, Indianapolis, IN.
He graduated from Anderson High School in 1978.He was employed at XPO Logistics as a Truck Driver and served in the United States Army.He was the Best Dad and adored his Girls. Jackieloved to workout, go to his grandchildren games, skating, or anything they were involved in. He also loved spending time with family and friends, especially family dinners and loved sports.
Jackie is survived by his Fiancée Anita “Nyki” White,Mother: Eula Jones Wheeler, Daughters: Alexis (Antwan) Jarrard, Jaclyn M. Jones, Adrienne N. Jones, Special Daughters: Kieisha Bell and Natasha Hart; Siblings: Bettina A. Bates, Ledora Reed, Linda Edmond, Lillie Clay, Frank “Fuzzy” Williams, Tamper “Nate” Wheeler, Michael D. Wheeler, Willie C. Clay; Grandchildren: Zion Abram, Andrice Jones, Amhad and Armon Jarrard. A Host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives, and Friends.
Jackie was preceded in death by Tamper (Maxine) Wheeler; Maternal Grandparents Ula (Maggie) Jones; Paternal Grandparents R.B. (Jessie M.) Wheeler and Charles Clay.
Service will be noon Saturday at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, 2124 Cedar St., with visitation 2 hours prior to service.
