In Loving Memory of Joy K. “Sweet”

Joy K. “Sweet” Ford made her transitional ascent to Heaven on Friday, July 15, 2022 after an extended illness. Joy was born on December 16, 1944 in Troy, AL to Curbie and Lessie Ford. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1962. Joy is survived by her daughter and best friend, Wendy R. McMullen, her grandchildren, Antonio C. McMullen and Courtney J. McMullen, great-grandchildren, Cameron, Amiyah, Caleb, Brooklynn, A’Mari, and Antonio Jr., and Jersey. Special nieces Viva L.(Clarence) Hoggard, Danielle C. (Tony) McCullough. Nieces, Shantel (Arthur)Haralson Carla Kelley, Carla Wills nephews Dr. Curtis Rashaan Ford, William Cory (Carissa)Ford, Jovan (Megan) McGraw, and Devin “Boo” Ford, a legacy of beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Curbie and Lessie Ford, her brothers, Willie C. “Bill” Ford and Curtis Ford, and her sisters, Mamie “Jean” Ford and Donna Rhea McGraw. Services will be held Monday July 25th, 2022 at Anderson Zion Baptist Church Anderson, Rev William O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetary. Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. service will be from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Services entrusted to Glazebrooks Funeral Services. Please wear All White in honor of our Angel.
