Veniece “Niecy” Barnes, 68, passed away Jan. 31, 2023 in Fort Wayne, IN.
Niecy was born Feb. 12, 1954 to James and Laverne Allensworth in Indianapolis, IN. She was a 1972 Anderson High School graduate and a GM retiree. Niecy enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing cards, bowling and spending time with family and friends.
Niecy is survived by her son Jermaine (Susan) Allensworth; sisters Anna Marie Cox, Rosa “LaKina” Hoskins; grandchildren Kaylee Allensworth, Jaden Allensworth and a host of family and friends.
Niecy was preceded in death by her parents James Allensworth, Laverne Allensworth; brothers James Allensworth and Joseph Allensworth.
Memorial service will be 1pm Tuesday at Anderson Zion Baptist Church, 2008 Rev. J.T. Menifee St. Anderson, IN.
