Corey Jonal Naugle, Sr. departed this life on August 25, 2023.

Corey was born on June 2, 1981, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Phyllis Naugle-Rowe.

Corey attended Brian Piccolo Elementary and Rezin Orr Academy High Schools in Chicago, IL. During his years at Rezin Orr he was a member of the wrestling and football team.

Corey worked security at NTN until his death. His greatest love was being a dad and playing with his sons Corey, Jr. and Ernesto. Corey liked to watch the Philadelphia Eagles, playing biz whiz, and video games and listening to music. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Corey is survived by his Sons: Corey Jonal Malone-Naugle, Jr. (Kasie) and Ernesto Hernandez Moore-Naugle (Kayla) of Anderson, IN; Stepfather: Vincent Rowe, Chicago, IL. Brothers: Vincent Hadley; Donta Hadley, Lavelle Hadley of Springfield, IL and Jaelin Naugle-Rowe, Anderson, IN. Aunts: Earnestine (Zeke) Barber and Alberta Ross, Anderson, IN. Uncles: Paul (Saundra) Naugle, Carol Stream IL, Steven (JoAnn) Naugle, Sr., Hillside, IL, and Kevin (Julie) Naugle., Sr., Chicago, IL. Cousins/siblings: Cortez White (Naomi), Chicago, IL, and Sherise Barber (Caleb), Anderson, IN. God Children: Za’Ree Barber, Zaeveon Cunningham and Zion Slayden, Anderson, IN. Childhood Friend: Eugene “Geno” Kelly, Chicago, IL, a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his mother, grandmother Sarah Naugle-Grandberry; Grandfather Leith G. Naugle, Jr.; Uncle Leith G. Naugle, III; Great-Grandmother Lily Mae Banks; Aunts, Charlene Banks, Thelma Powell, Venee Naugle and Great-Aunt Alma Davis.

Funeral service 11am Tuesday at Glazebrooks Funeral Services, 2822 Nichol Ave., with visitation 10am to 11am prior to service.

Deanna J. Simmons, 42, passed away Aug. 20, 2023 at Community North Hospital, Indianapolis.

Deanna was born June 6, 1981 to Kenneth and Patricia Simmons in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from La Salle High School, enjoyed cooking, bingo and spending time with family and friends.

Deanna was survived by her son MaKhi Simmons; father Kenneth Simmons and a host of family and friends.

Deanna was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Simmons.

Services will be private.

Michael was born May 12, 1955 to Gladys Powell-Allen and Thessalonia Head in Chattanooga, TN. He was a 1974 graduate from Madison Heights High School and retired from MK Betts. Michael enjoyed bowling, playing pool, watching sports, traveling, taking pictures, running marathons, bicycling, giving balloons, cutting grass and spending time with family and friends.
Michael was survived by his wife Mary Head; mother Gladys Powell Allen; daughter Nyree Dreher; stepdaughter Lakeisha Pearson, Brandy (Pete) Pearson; Danielle Pearson, Ashly (Larry) Taylor; sister Akeisha Head; brothers Curtis Head, Terrance Head; sister-in-laws Gloria (James) McClendon, Paula (Dennis) Cox, Rita (William) Orange, Judith Arnold, Janice Taylor, Lisa- Ruth Taylor; brother-in-law Michael (Lillian) Taylor, David (Anna) Taylor, Mark Taylor and a host of family and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Thessalonia Head; sister Deborah Head; nephew Reginald Head; brother-in-laws Roy Taylor, Donald Taylor and Jeffery Taylor.

He enjoyed playing cards, chess, spending time with his grandkids and family. JB leaves to cherish his beloved family. Siblings; Mack (Donna Moody), Willie Moody. Children; Johnie B Moody Jr. (Idella), Leon Moody, Johnetta Moody, Lachele Moody (Kerrie Buckley) Ex Wife; Loretta Moody Johnson, Special Lady friend; Dianna Rollins, Good Friend and Sister Darlene Stewart. Sandra was born March 21, 1935 to Edward and Thelma Alexander in Muncie, IN. She was a graduate from Muncie Central High School and a GM retiree. Sandra enjoyed playing the piano, church, singing, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family and friends.

Sandra is survived by her sons Micheal (Treva) Boatman, Mark (Vanessa) Boatman, Edward Boatman; stepdaughters Connie Turner-Fields, Trudy Carter; sister Starlet (Lawrence) Williams; 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be noon Saturday at Christ Temple Apostolic Church, 1610 W. 22nd st., with visitation 2 hours prior to service.
Burial at Maplewood Cemetery.
