Evag. Sandra Turner, 88, passed away Aug. 9, 2023 at Northview Health and Living.

Sandra was born March 21, 1935 to Edward and Thelma Alexander in Muncie, IN. She was a graduate from Muncie Central High School and a GM retiree. Sandra enjoyed playing the piano, church, singing, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family and friends.

Sandra is survived by her sons Micheal (Treva) Boatman, Mark (Vanessa) Boatman, Edward Boatman; stepdaughters Connie Turner-Fields, Trudy Carter; sister Starlet (Lawrence) Williams; 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be noon Saturday at Christ Temple Apostolic Church, 1610 W. 22nd st., with visitation 2 hours prior to service.
Burial at Maplewood Cemetery.

Willie James King Jr., 59, passed away May 29, 2023 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis.

Willie was born April 29, 1964 to Willie James Kings Sr. and Theresia Taylor. He was a Madison Heights High School graduate and employed at Anderson Country Club. Willie enjoyed basketball and spending time with family and friends.

Willie is survived by his sons Antonio King, Tevin King, Trevin King; mother Theresia Taylor; brother Kevin (Tauri) Ivey; sister Sherri Ivey; 1 grandchild and a host of family and friends.

Willie was preceded in death by his wife Oleatha King; father Willie James King Sr.; grandparents, Willie Cooley, Rosie Cooley, Torrabell King and sister Shirley Ann King.

Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Glazebrooks Funeral Services, 2822 Nichol Ave., with viewing 2 hour prior to service.

Marilyn Steans Harrison, 74, passed away May 8, 2023 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

Marilyn was born Feb. 7, 1948 to Theodore Rosevelt Steans Sr. and Addie B. Steans. She was a graduate from Anderson High School in 1966, Ivy Tech with as Associate Degree in Business Administration, General Motors retiree and worked as a clerk at Bethesda Baptist Church.. Marilyn enjoyed singing in church choir, cooking, crossword puzzles, reading, loving her dogs and cats.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter DeAnna Boatman; sons David (R. Byron Stringer) Dixon, Garcia (Hilda) Johnson; brothers Thomas (Betty) Steans, Franklin Steans Sr., Steven Hopkins; sisters Carolyn (Steven) Hampton, Ruth (Terry) Clark, Rita (Bruce) Walker, Marilyn Jordan Fuller; grandchildren DeCharla Boatman, Charles (Vanessa) Boatman Jr., Maurice (Amber) Boatman, Mariah Hendricks, Deydra Boatman, Shannel Johnson; great grandchildren J’Yon Johnson, Shania Wilson, Samarri Boatman, Kingston Boatman, Jy’Zaire Boatman, Moriah Boatman, Kali Boatman, Charles Boatman, Silas Boatman; special niece Zaquisa Steans; special nephew James Willis; special friends Sandra May, Elmira Davis, Charles Boyd; pet dogs Minnie, Fendi and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be noon Tuesday at Glazebrooks Funeral Services, 2822 Nichol Ave., with viewing 2 hours prior to service.
